Feet On Sand

Q:
Age: 58   Sex: M   Concern: Nerves on Feet

A few months back, I developed a tingling sensation from knees to feet; feels like I am standing on sand on a beach 24/7; loosing my gait and controls of my legs and walking. The neurologist could not determine a root cause. Any suggestions

Separately, I had an MRI of full spine and subsequently had an ACDF of C5/6 and C6/7. With physio, I have improved on gait. However the feet are still in Sand.

A:
The gait instability is probably due to your cervical disc problem. The sand feeling could be from your neck as well. However I think an MRI for the lumbar spine is reasonable to rule out stenosis.
