developed foot drop after fall in shower, now bedridden

Q:
Sex: M   Concern: Spinal cord injury

my friend in 70's used walker after fall when hurt hip but could go everywhere, even drive car. After  second fall in shower hitting low back five months ago he can hardly move legs and cannot walk since his feet drop. He is bed ridden.  Is there any surgery that might get him to walk with walker again?

A:
He needs to see a doctor. He could have a fractured hip, disc herniation. First step is to see someone for an examination. He would probably need an Xray and MRI
