PAIN?!?!?!? #2

Q:
Age: 34   Sex: M   Concern: Spinal cord injury

So sorry for not asking this in my previous message post but should I seek another opinion from a Neurosurgeon or and Orthopedic surgeon?

I have been given advice from some well meaning friends for both. But they certainly did not go to medical school or have any degree behind their names.

Thank you for replying so quickly. I was thinking the same thing about seeking a second opinion but wanted to voice the concerns I had so that I don't appear to be doctor shopping. All I want is to be healed properly and not just a quick fix.

I am to see my Family physician on Tuesday of next week, I will ask that he make a referral to another specialist to review my case.

A:
Either one would be ok. Just make sure that they are specialized in spine surgery or at least did a fellowship in spine surgery. The best is to ask them how many discectomy and spine fusion they have done.
