Mri Reading

Q:
Age: 37   Sex: F   Concern: Sports injuries

I play golf everyday and I used to run quite a bit. I just had an MRI of lumbar area with following findings. Can i still paly golf? Also, what would you suggest to increase water in disks. Is it possible to reverse disk degeneration? Do I need to see a neurologist?

Mri report findings:
L3-4 Mild retrolisthesis with disk degenration and reative/degenrative endplate changes. Spondylosis with bulging anulus and component of shallow left lateral disk protrusion. left foraminal narrowing.

L4-5 Desiccation of the disk with mild spondylitic change and slight bulging anulus. Facet arthrosis

L5-S1 Desiccation of the disk with slight spondylitic change and mild Facet arthrosis

thanks in advance for your help

A:
You can't increase water in the disc.

I would see a physiatrist if you start having back problem.

Go to http://www.aapmr.org to find a physiatrist in your area.
