Do bone spurs in c-5, c-6 cause facial numbness and pain?

Q:
Age: 50   Sex: M   Concern: Pain and numbness in face

I have had flashing pain and numbness in my face for over 3 years. After 2 MRI's of the brain, and several chiropractors and several neurological medicines I was experiencing no improvement and it was getting worse over all both in frequency and intensity.

Finally my neurologist did an MRI of my neck after my insistence. My symptoms get markedly worse if I lean back or lie down.

The MRI showed bone spurs in C-5 and c-6. Although the doctor insisted this would cause pain/numbness in my arm and hands - which I don't have. He put me on an anti-inflamtory but it does not seem to help and bothers my stomach alot.

Are the bone spurs in C-5 and c-6 causing the face pain and numbness? Or is something else? And if they are the cause, what are my options? I am going a bit crazy trying to get this diagnosed and treated.

Thank you.
