leg pain after hysterectomy

Q:
Age: 49   Sex: F   Concern: leg pain after hysterectomy

i had a laparoscopic-vaginal hysterectomy june 2006 ever since then i've had pain in both my legs-in a very specific spot-both legs in the calfs running down the outside of the leg. the pain radiates up to my groin when i sit too long. you cannot touch the legs or rub them at all. so far i've had an emg-which was normal and a mri which showed minor degenerative disc disease. i was then sent for 3 epidural injections which did nothing. i'm currently on lyrica 150-twice a day which does seem to help. the final diagnosis is peroneal nerve contusion and the neuro doctor tells me this will resolve itself with time. of course he will not say exactly how much time. have you ever heard of this happening? 2 doctors have told me it is from the position during surgery...thanks

A:
More likely than not, your two doctors are right.
