Chronic pain from two Thoracic Crush

Q:
Age: 52   Sex: F   Concern: Chronic pain

Three years ago whilst out riding my horse I was struck by a motorcycle traveliing at very high speed. My horse was killed and I was projected up into the air to a height of about 8 ft and landed on my back hitting the back of my head. I was diagnosed with crush fractures of T1 & T2. The fractures are described as stable but the MRI scan shows these vertebrae to be very distorted (wedge shaped). I continue to get localised pain and also a pronounced burning pain in my neck if I sit in the same position for very long. Would you expect this sort of pain after 3 years and are there any excercises I can perform to reduce my pain? I can send you the relevant part of the MRI scan as a JPEG if you like.

A:
yes that is possible.

You may want to find a physician in your area to see whether you would be a candidate for vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty
