Straightening of cervical lordosis

Q:
Age: 24   Sex: F   Concern: Straightening of cervical lordosis

My Dr. recently ordered an(C-Spine)x-ray secondary to my complaint of periodic numbness in both arms. The results of my x-ray say Straightening of the cervical lordosis, otherwise unremarkable???? What is the above mentioned, how can you fix it, and can it be the cause of my numbness???

-- Psiette

A:
fairly normal xray. Straightening of the spine of x ray usually is due to positioning at the time of the xray. Occasionally, it is due to cervical spasm in case of acute injury.

If you have numbness in the arm, MRI would be a better radiograph study to rule out disc pathology
