Herniated disc and a bone spur

Q:
Age: 14   Sex: M   Concern: back injury

I have went to a neurologist he said i have a focal disc protrusion at the l3-4 which is broad based and central in location and a bone spur that produces a schmorl's node type deformity and also produces mild to moderate canal stenosis. He recomended a laminectomy and a spinal fusion do i have any other type of surgery other than endoscopic or micro discectomy th! at would be effective cause the herniation was broad based and central in location?

A:
Have you considered conservative approaches before surgery? Epidurals or other intradiscal procedure. Surgery appears a bit aggressive based on your MRI findings
