- 51 consecutive patients with radicular symptoms, L4/5 neurologic deficits, and positive myelogram, randomized, double blind:
- 80mg Depo (lumbar)
- 2ml saline (lumbar)
- Single injection. In patient study. Bed rest for 7 days followed by physiotherapy
- Assessment: Lumbar range, Lasegue’s, Neurologic deficits, Pain, Analgesic consumption, Statement by therapists, Patient’s own assessment.
- Short term improvement in both groups
